Programs: Photoshop
Tools: Blur filter (Gaussian), Crop, Mask tool, Overlay, Soft light, text, text fx
Skills: Photoshop 4 years, and basically anything not relating to montages
Steps taken: Downloaded image, resized to correct size, added photos, masked them, added text, added floral overlay, lowered the opacity, added text effects, saved image. - Message: Happiness is found on the inside. I find my happiness by my friends and family. And most importantly, Christ.
- Audience: This quote got me through a tough time in my life. The audience is generally for anyone needing a reminder that they make their own happiness.
- Top Thing Learned: Montages are difficult and I don’t really like them.
- Filter / Colorization used and where it was applied: Blur filter- over pictures under Christ
- Color scheme and color names: Big Split Complementary- Red, Green, Yellow, Blue (seen in images and the floral print)
- Title Font Name & Category: Bombshell Pro, Script
- Copy Font Name & Category: Helvetica Neue, Sans Serif

Hi Melissa 😀 I really liked your montage project! There is so much light in it! I just love how simple you decided to keep it. You can’t tell it is a montage because you merged the pictures so well! I think the background was a great choice because it combines very well. The typo is clear and although is kind of small I didn’t have a hard time reading it! I hope you get a great grade!

Your project is so unique! I wouldn’t have thought of creating a montage within a book in the picture. I like the background image because it’s simple and follows the rule of thirds. You did a great job with the blending and kind of gave it a different twist. I also like the fonts you choose, as they contrast really well together and draws you attention to the text first. Great job on this project!

Great job on your montage! I love that it is simple and calming. It gives the feel of times of the pioneers on the right and young womens on the other. I also think that it looks like someone is making this for a keepsake. With the browns, script and blurred in images it gives the feeling of being peaceful. Lastly, I think that it is really unique. Usually, like in mine, there is a Temple, but your montage is different, great job!
